"Like anyone else, my financial plan was important to me, especially as I became older. I was one of those that did an okay job in taking care of my financial plan. I went through a handful of different advisors, but most felt more like salesmen, and once on board, you almost felt like a burden. I was referred to the advisors at Resource One and set up a meeting. I was nearing retirement and a bit desperate, but assumed I was in for more of the same when it came to getting financial help. Resource One's office is located in a beautiful area in St. Albans, and due to the mix of that elegance and my simple portfolio, I expected to be even more overlooked than usual.
